The European University of Lefke, founded by the Cyprus Science Foundation, officially started its academic activities in 1990 as a State Foundation University. The University and all its respective departments are accredited with the Turkish Republic’s Higher Education Council (Board) since its first day of establishment. The University campus is located on a hill in one of the island’s richest natural corners, overlooking the local landscape and with a full view of the blue waters of the Mediterranean. With its quite and tranquil setting, it offers students an ideal environment to pursue their academic studies.
With its excellent infrastructure and technological equipment, EUL is the leading brand of education in the west of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. “Our university aims to offer up-to-date, long-lasting quality education at international standards. It produces research and contributes to the needs of the society. The university provides a multicultural environment having international knowledge and meets the needs of all stakeholders. The European University of Lefke (EUL), founded in 1989 by the Cyprus Science Foundation, opened its campus in 1990. It is a state university with 87 associate and undergraduate degree programs, 28 masters and 18 doctoral programmes based in 10 faculties, 4 schools, 3 vocational schools and one institute. The university and all its academic programmes are accredited and quality assured by the Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YOK).
